Hi there,
It's been a while.
A lot has changed in the weight loss world, but some things haven't.
For years, I thought I was in the fat loss business but recently I realized I've always been in the keep your muscle business. Whether your appetite is reduced by age or meds, keeping your muscle is necessary for a long active life. Every week let's take a step together to preserving the muscle you have for as long as you can.
The other day, I heard the term Ozempic butt. It took me right back to the Eat to Lose Fat seminars. We spent years teaching people how to lose only fat while keeping their strength and energy (muscle). In other words, how to avoid Ozempic butt.
I'm a fan of GLP-1 meds. These meds are changing lives. One of the beautiful things about GLP-1 medications is that they reduce appetite. That's the reason they work so well. And that creates the same problem you may remember from the seminar days — losing muscle on a diet. More on all this in future newsletters. This Signal+ Weekly newsletter will arrive every Friday at 11 AM.
I'm looking forward to reconnecting with you.
